When Generosity is Urgent
Generosity Bay Area (GBA) believes in the lifelong journey of open-hearted generosity. For the benefit of our community and the wider world, we aspire to create a culture of radical giving in the Bay Area.
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a large-scale invasion in Ukraine, with fighting, bombings, and attacks throughout the country. The devastation and suffering in Ukraine remind us of the urgency of generosity—when God invites us into moments of crisis.
A Call to Prayer
Please join us in praying for Ukraine.
O merciful Father,
who has taught us in your holy Word
that you do not willingly afflict or grieve the children of men:
Look with pity upon the sorrows of the people of Ukraine,
for whom our prayers are offered.
Remember them, O Lord, in mercy,
nourish their souls with patience,
comfort them with a sense of your goodness,
lift up your countenance upon them,
and give them peace;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
